Juki DDL 5550N
This is a high speed straight lockstitch machine. Lightweight to Mediumweight ranging from knits and cotton fabrics to denim or 1000D woven nylon material (and other non-stretchy fabric) can be sewn easily using the Juki. Bobbins and needles can be found on the left of the machine. Bobbins are wound by the Axis bobbin winding machine

Getting Authorized (as of 11/2025)
The Juki DDL-5550N is part of the Tier 1 sewing authorization. For this, a canvas course must first be taken. Afterwards, there is an in-person authorization that is required and is scheduled to happen roughly once a month. This is coordinated in the discord channel #sewing. Authorization covers basic usage and configuration such as changing needles and winding bobbins, and common machine ~debugging~ (among other topics).
