If you are local (whatever that means is up to you) you should come by any Tues at 8pm.  Join 10 or so other interested people for 30 min or more depending on how much conversation happens.  Most people don't join, but most people have a good time leaning about our unique offerings.  We are a social club, and even the tour is a social event.  The instruction on how to join is not meant to be pressure;  if you aren't interested then you are free to leave or hang out for the evening and chat with whoever feels sociable.    We have considerable churn and that's fine.  People get excited, join, and figure out maybe it wasn't a good idea and quit.  We would love to know why, because we would love to be more things to more people.  Loosing your monthly dues is not going to break us.

If Tues 8pm doesn't work for you, we have a few weekly events that are open to the public.  Pick one that interests you.  tip: alternate Monday night Python office hours is less about Python programming and more about what Dave has baked, he often brings cookies.  The other Monday night is NERP, which is much more focused on electronic projects.
