ID Check Process

How to perform an ID check as of 12/25/2024

1. Check the #Member Status channel and match their Stripe payment to their name
   1. If you find a matching payment, continue!
   2. If you cannot find a matching payment, please verify with them that they have paid. Do not ID check a member until they have paid.
2. Sign into WA
3. Find the member in WA
4. Check their ID
   1. Verify their name
      1. it is OK if their name does not match, just confirm with them that the ID contains their legal name
   2. Verify their DOB against the ID and confirm they are over 18 years of age
   3. Verify they have an address on file, it does not need to match the ID
5. If everything checks out, enter your name and the current date into the first ID check field
6. Save the profile
7. Approve the WA account if needed
8. They should be all good to go. Let them know how to get onto the Discord and how to find other resources, like on the wiki!
