Carbon dioxide and respiration
Parallax has Item code 27929 for $36. This module includes the necessary amplifiers and also a comparator to detect a preset threshold. The sensor may be adversely affected by the moisture in human exhalations, however.
Sparkfun doesn't list a carbon dioxide sensor.
Newark doesn't list a carbon dioxide sensor.
