When I was in grad school, our library had access to a number of online databases (the usual stuff like Lexis/Nexis but also science-specific/special interest ones).  Does it make sense to have a discussion about purchasing membership in some databases of interest/use to the membership for use by the membership collectively?  I would imagine there are engineering and other such databases that members might get use from.

I have linked http://www.doaj.org/ on the library page since that's free. Some of those databases can be really expensive, especially if they include access to full articles from academic journals. I may do some research on that later, but for right now, I just want to get the checkout system set up. --[[User:Skittles|Skittles]]
