• Gen Ops
  • Heating system "still seems to be working"
  • Repair to the back unit heater is done.
  • Next up is look into AC for second floor. It failed at the end of last summer.
    • Needs to be looked at on the roof.
    • Tech team will be recabling that closet prior to the tech showing up to make that closet less awful
    • We should also talk to the HVAC tech about options for the server closet.
      • For example extending the vent to the server closet?
      • Shouldn't be hard?
      • Is it worth it?
      • We are good at cutting holes!
        • Electronics area host requests it vent into arts not electronics ;)
      • Andrew M. suggests installing a vent fan
        • V points out there is one right now.
        • James says it doesn't work. The router was hitting 137 degrees
      • There is a LOT of power in there.
      • Andrew W. asks about wattage used in the room?
        • Answer to this question unclear. It is documented somewhere, maybe?
        • The real problem here is that the load changes over time it sounds like.
        • The tech team is working on decommissioning additional machines to reduce power load.
        • It is currently at max power load.
        • James will look for this spreadsheet.
      • Maybe we replace the upstairs AC with
  • Safety issue of outlet in the kitchen has been resolved with masking tape.
    • Brian Desmond will be converting to a GFI to solve more permanently.

  • No lead yet.

• Treasury Team
  • Nothing of note outside of the discussion of money.
  • Currently after all contractual obligations we have $6000 of discretionary money per month.
  • We used to have $150,000 in savings. We now have $90,000 in savings.
  • We are expecting a loss of $50,000 this year.

New Business

• Treasury Stare of the Hackerspace - Can we keep buying expensive things?
  • Historically we can spend money without thinking to hard about it.
  • We are coming out of the winter. The summer is usually our busiest season for new members.
  • The treasury thinks that we shouldn't worry about running this vote.
  • Is there a number where we should start worrying?
    • At what point should the votes stop being run by the board?

• Woodshop
  • Drum sander is unhappy. Sam would like to get a new one. $10,000

Votes

• The board votes to refund Ben Starret for 7 months of storage fees and compensate him $300 for the loss of his materials in a gen-ops rerorganization. The money shall be pulled from the Gen Ops budget.
