New people went upstairs for a separate meeting

Things that need doing around the space

24 Hour Marathon buildout - Saturday 3AM to Sunday 3PM
- Come join Ken & Ron & a bunch of other awesome folks doing such things as running cable, pipes, moving the laser?
Get lounge 2.0 organized (maybe at the 24 hour buildout)
- Decide what belongs and what goes away
- Create a mini-limbo for the lounge?
- Things need to get ticketed per tidy space
  - During the 24 hour push, ticket things with date, photograph, publicize in order to get rid of things that are in the way
Light at the back door is blinking
- Check batteries
Back door doesn't close
- Hinges need to be adjusted?

- Adriana for spearheading kitchen renovation project

What have you been hacking

- Will is getting stuff to make the fridge smart with a Wii Fit board and a Raspberry Pi. It'll notify Will about what runs out in the fridge.
Shelly has a few more drawings for her dragon coloring book
Brian has plans to build a vacuum-forming machine
- Trying to figure out where it would live - maybe in the old hot metals spot because of power
- It needs some clearance when on, but can roll into the wall
- Also discussed safety features like a deadman switch
- Does it need ventilation? If that area ends up with a paint booth, ventilation could be already built in
  - Also considering a portable fume extractor in general for the space. Expensive.
    - There's one for the laser that didn't end up working so well. Weak. Could it be blocked? Holes in the hoses? Ron worked on it a bit.
Ron welded back together the vertical frame for the panel saw
Plasma cutter was malfunctioning, torch issues

- Small metals budget
Ring workshop for making spinner rings Sunday afternoon 1-5 pm in small metals (post 24 hour work day!)
- Future workshop maybe on a Friday evening?
Game night, Saturday night
Curry demo (and eating), Saturday night
Python Office Hours in electronics
Lockpicking, 8 pm in the lounge
No CAJOO this week
NERP on Monday
Woodshop Authorizations on Monday
HALLOWEEN PARTY on Sunday, October 30
- Cotton candy, pumpkin carving contest, movies, caramel apples, face painting, AND SURPRISES TO COME
- Looking for someone to help design a flier for the public
- Discussed how to keep things safe if the public is here
  - Have a plan for handling the public (safety waivers, donation box, etc.)
  - Maybe have two parts of the party - one for the public without booze, one with booze later for the members
- Maybe have a Halloween Open House for a couple hours before the party?
- A member can bring guests regardless

How did this meeting's format go?
- Liked having the members meeting without the new folks
- Had different and more indepth conversations
- Would have liked to have the announcements to happen with the new folks
  - Could also make sure that announcements are read in the new member meeting
  - And ask the people running the new member meeting to talk about things that they have made or hacked or things that have happened recently
