Only use drills and accessories with correct shank taper and tang | |||
Work piece needs secure mounting due to spindle's high torque | |||
No through hole (table designed for coolant), must use vise | |||
No quill stop, must set table or head height to prevent drilling into table | |||
Don't force gear selectors, hand turn spindle as needed to align gears | |||
Gears reverse spindle, must turn power switch to appropriate side for correct spindle rotation direction | |||
Power switch has two speeds to each side | |||
Drill shanks must be firmly seated in taper | |||
To remove drill, lower spindle to expose the slot in the quill, turn the spindle by hand until the quill slot lines up with the spindle slot, insert the #3 drift into the slot with the curved edge facing up, grasp drill, tap drift with hammer | |||
