Introductions

• Brief overview of what PS1 is (<1min).
• New members/visitors introduce themselves.
• Introduce the board and area hosts.

Announcements

• Bad Idea Hackathon is happening September 5-7 at Geek Bar. http://www.badideahackathon.com/
• PS:1 Design contest. Please design some swag and submit it to info@pumpingstationone.org - win fabulous prizes!
• Shellie is moving her office hours to 8pm every Wednesday. Come do arty stuff!
• This Friday: Movie night. Codebreaker - it's about Alan Turing. 7:30pm in the lounge
• Tomorrow is TOOOL. Come pick some locks at 8pm in the lounge! You will definitely pick a lock if you come.
• Next Tuesday is 300 seconds of fame! 5 minute lightning talks by literally anyone on literally any topic! Come talk to us for five minutes.
• Tomorrow is Bike Night! If you have a bike and it's broken or crappy or awesome, bring it to bike night.

• Meeting begins at 20:03
• Everett welcomes folks and introduces PS1
  • Steve heckles
    • "This is weird. You're behind me."
• New folks introduce themsleves
  • Curt found out about us from a friend. He likes to do woodworking stuff, for the most part. He wants to learn other things.
  • Matt found out about us from Curt. He thought it sounded cool. He likes electronics, multicopters.
  • Dianne is an art teacher. She makes musical instruments from nontraditional materials and children's toys.
  • Sam found out about us from Joe. His wife joined recently. He likes to knit, write software, write not-software. Music and math. Lots of things. Drunken knitting machine purchases.
  • Jay heard about us on Reddit. He was looking for woodworking tools. Has done metalworking and electronics in the past.
  • Chris followed Jay here. MechE into carpentry and cars.
  • Pierre. Internet. Stuff. He's a model rocketeer and is into machining. He hates computers and loves math. He's a musician
• Two not-new folks:
  • Justin has been a member for almost a year now. He's the general area host. He heard about us from his friend Jerry. Robots, bicycles, beer, CNC machines.

• Anthony Sontag is our new Director at Large! Welcome to hell, buddy.

  • Ray Doekson left his computer here for a while but then he took it out of here quickly.
    • "That's not awesome. Well, okay"
  • Trigby was cleaning up upstairs! Thanks, we depend on our members to get things like this done.
  • Trigby also made a feeds and speeds chart for the machine shop.
  • Donald has spent loads of time on our 3d printers
    • "It's not done yet!"
  • Jenny has been hosting movie nights, revitalizing an old tradition. Drew is helping.
  • Derek for always addressing member concerns.
  • Jenny did a lot of work on getting a cleaning service hired - hopefully the space will be a bit sparklier.
  • Hef ran a sweet systems meeting to get people up to speed on our network
    • People immediately started breaking stuff!
