We’ve had a serious problem keeping track of mail. The old system had a catch basin for the mail that worked sometimes. When it did work people would still pick up the mail and carry it around leaving it in random places throughout the building. The amount of time we’ve heard that mail was taken to give to someone causing it to take longer than if they would have just grabbed it themselves is astonishing. After the plastic bins broke the mail would just dump onto the floor in the entryway, further increasing the problem of mail ending up other places in the building or being outright lost. Hundreds of dollars in late fees have been spent due to only receiving the late notices from state and local governments instead of the original bills that just never got found.
